Live Music Show at Asian American Resource Center



The Austin Parks and Recreation Department's Asian American Resource Center (AARC) presents its first live, in-person performance of the monthly music series, tones: sounds from Asian AmericaOn Saturday, September 18 at 7 p.m. the public is invited to enjoy performances by Seela, Shirley Zhu (fuvk), Peelander-Yellow and Amit Motwani, AKA DJ Dan Singh, and emceed by Tåsi, a local rapper, poet, and archivist and co-curator of tones.

The series, now in its second year, features Austin-area Asian American artists from across generations and genres, that showcase the artist's contributions to the sounds of Asian America. Tickets are free and may be reserved online ahead of the event. The show will be outdoors at AARC, 8401 Cameron Road, and will be simultaneously live streamed on Facebook and the Austin Parks and Recreation YouTube channel.
