The O. Henry Museum, 409 East 5th St., will reopen to the public on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. The museum has undergone a renovation to upgrade fire suppression systems and HVAC systems. Renovations also included building leveling, a building envelope, roof upgrades and repairs, lead remediation and landscape improvements. Find hours of operation and more information at the O. Explore Porter's life in a social, family, and creative context as well as the recent acquisition of his first professional commission. The commission includes 27 hand-drawn illustrations which were originally made to accompany the memoirs of Joseph T. Dixon, a miner who spent several years prospecting in the Rocky Mountains. |
