O. Henry Museum Will Reopen on Wednesday, January 4

The O. Henry Museum, 409 East 5th St., will reopen to the public on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. The museum has undergone a renovation to upgrade fire suppression systems and HVAC systems. Renovations also included building leveling, a building envelope, roof upgrades and repairs, lead remediation and landscape improvements. Find hours of operation and more information at the O. Henry Museum website.

The public is invited to rediscover the newly reopened museum and its exhibits depicting the life of William Sydney Porter, better known by his pen name O. Henry. Explore Porter's life in a social, family, and creative context as well as the recent acquisition of his first professional commission. The commission includes 27 hand-drawn illustrations which were originally made to accompany the memoirs of Joseph T. Dixon, a miner who spent several years prospecting in the Rocky Mountains.
