Austin City Manager to Deliver Proposed 2022-2023 Budget July 15

Austin City Manager Spencer Cronk will present the Fiscal Year 2022-23 Proposed Budget to City Council at 10 a.m., Friday, July 15, 2022.

The budget presentation will take place at Montopolis Recreation and Community Center in East Austin.

The weeks following the presentation will provide time for public input and budget work sessions. City Council will have the opportunity to review and may initiate amendments to the Proposed Budget, before final adoption, which is scheduled to begin on August 17. Fiscal Year 2022-23 will begin on October 1, 2022.

The budget process includes significant public input, financial forecasting, strategic planning, analysis of performance data, organizational changes, Council policy input, fee setting, program development and implementation, and multitude legal requirements pertaining to public hearing noticing, setting of the tax rate and adoption of the budget by the City Council.
