Barton Springs Pool Opens on Wednesdays Starting June 8

 

Aquatic Division Continues to Hire and Train Lifeguards



Austin Parks and Recreation announces that Barton Springs Pool, 2131 William Barton Dr., will reopen on Wednesdays starting June 8. This represents a return to full operational hours at Barton Springs Pool. The pool will continue to be closed for its regular weekly cleaning on Thursdays.

Daily (Except Thursdays)

  • 5:00 AM – 8:00 AM  Swim at your Own Risk

  • 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM Guarded Swim

  • 5:00 am - 9:00 am Swim at your Own Risk

  • 9:00 am - 7:00 pm CLOSED for cleaning

  • 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm Guarded swim

The Aquatic Division of the Parks and Recreation Department continues to hire and train lifeguards to operate summer pools. The pay ranges from $16 to $19 an hour depending on experience and certifications. Staff get bonuses, paid sick leave, a free bus pass, and flexible scheduling.
