City offices, facilities to close for Veterans Day

City offices, facilities to close for Veterans Day
City of Austin administrative offices and other municipal facilities will be closed, Wednesday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veterans Day. Normal business hours will resume Thursday, Nov. 12.
 
Closures include all City Council offices.

Austin Public Library curbside service locations and all telephone reference services will be closed.

All recreation centers are currently closed under PARD COVID-19 Modified Operations and will remain closed on Veterans Day. All senior centers are currently closed under PARD COVID-19 Modified Operations and will remain closed on Veterans Day. Museums and Cultural Centers are currently closed and all services suspended. Tennis centers and golf courses are currently open under PARD COVID-19 Modified Operations and will be open on Veterans Day. See PARD closures here: austintexas.gov/parkclosures.

Austin Resource Recovery curbside services, including the Violet Bag and Clothing & Housewares Curbside Collection programs, will not be affected by the holiday. The Recycle and Reuse Drop-Off center and Violet KeepSafe storage will have normal operating hours.

The Austin Animal Center will be closed.
 
COVID-19 Test Site Closures
The Little Walnut Creek Library, Givens Rec Center, and Southeast Library COVID-19 test sites will be closed. The St. John's drive-thru site will be open by appointment; individuals wishing to be tested are encouraged to make an appointment through covid19.austintexas.gov or by calling 512-972-5560.
The Lark Center test site, located at 1400 Tillery Street, Austin, TX 78721, will have walk-up testing available on Wednesday from 2 to 7 p.m., as well as the Pflugerville test site, at 103 N. Railroad Avenue, Pflugerville, TX 78660, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
All Austin Public Health COVID-19 test sites will return to their normal schedules on Thursday, Nov. 12. For more information about COVID-19, visit austintexas.gov/covid19.
