Austin Public Health Extends Hours at COVID-19 Test Sites
Austin, Texas – Beginning today, Nov. 19, Austin Public Health (APH) has extended hours at several COVID-19 neighborhood test sites.

APH test sites that formerly operated from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. will now be open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Testing site staff have become more efficient at site setup and preparation, allowing the sites to be operational for an additional hour without requiring more staff time.

The Little Walnut Creek, Givens, and Southeast Library testing site hours will be adjusted Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays, and the Montopolis testing site hours will be adjusted on Tuesdays.

For APH neighborhood testing sites, individuals are not required to arrive to the test site in a vehicle, and there are a limited number of slots available to individuals without an appointment. While there is more than enough capacity, we encourage people to sign up for an appointment to limit their wait time at the site.
