Graham Dale, a former resident of Austin, Texas, and a respected member of the United States Marine Corps and the Jollyville Volunteer Fire Department, tragically lost his life in defense of freedom during the Russian invasion in Ukraine in December of 2023. This proclamation, officially declaring January 11, 2024, as "Graham Dale Day" in the City of Austin, is a testament to Graham's extraordinary service and sacrifice. It recognizes his unwavering commitment to making the world a better place and serves as an inspiration to the community. Council Member Mackenzie Kelly served at the Jollyville Fire Department as a volunteer with Graham Dale for over a decade. She expressed her deep respect for Graham's dedication, stating, "Graham Dale embodied the true spirit of selflessness and community service.
