| Austin Municipal Court (AMC) will be closed from 3:00 PM on Tuesday, September 13 through September 16, and will reopen at 7:00 AM on Monday, September 19. The closure is due to a software system conversion; there are no court dates scheduled during this time period. The current public portal will be retired on September 8th and the new portal activated on September 19; online payments and case information will not be available on the website during that time. To make a payment, please call 512-974-4800 8am-5pm Monday-Friday or use the chat feature in the lower right-hand corner of the web page. Phone payments and chat will not be available during the court closure from September 13 through September 16. Downtown Austin Community Court (DACC) will temporarily suspend court services beginning 2:00pm on Tuesday, September 13 through Friday, September 16. Court services will resume operations beginning at 8:00am on Monday, September 19. Court payments, arraignments at DACC, and scheduled and walk-in magistration will not be available during the time period for suspended court services. DACC’s Homeless Services will be closed during business hours on Friday, September 16 for staff development purposes. Aside from that day, Homeless Services will remain open for voluntary walk-in case management and the Intensive Case Management program. The Community Service (CS) program, which allow individuals to complete community service hours with DACC’s CS crews and the Violet KeepSafe Storage (VKS) program, which is under DACC’s purview and provides daily access to free storage services for individuals experiencing homelessness, will remain open without interruption. All due dates from September 8 through September 18 will be extended to September 19 for court cases with AMC and DACC. |
