Upcoming Event July 28, 2021: Virtual Pitch Competition Spotlighting Local, Circular Businesses

City of Austin to host virtual pitch event spotlighting local, circular businesses

Join the City of Austin's Economic Development Department and Austin Resource Recovery for the first Circular Austin Showcase. This is a virtual pitch event for local businesses – known as 'circular' businesses – focused on reuse, zero waste, and/or sustainability.

The Circular Austin Showcase is an opportunity for circular businesses to reach potential investors, attract new audiences and showcase their business models to like-minded individuals and business owners. According to the 2020 Austin Recycling Economic Impact Study, circular businesses support over $1 billion in local economic activity and over 6,300 jobs, all while helping Austin reduce waste to reach its zero waste goal by 2040.
