City of Austin Independence Day Holiday Closures 2021     Some City of Austin administrative offices and public facilities will be closed for the Independence Day holiday, 
Monday, July 5, 2021.     Parks and Recreation Facilities Schedules  Recreation and Senior centers will be closed for the Independence Day holiday on Monday, July 5. Museums including the Elizabet Ney, Susannah Dickinson, George Washington Carver, O. Henry and the Old Emporium and Bakery, as well as the Dougherty Arts, Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural and Asian American Resource Centers will also be closed on Monday.   
  City of Austin golf courses, tennis centers and Zilker Botanical Garden will be open regularly scheduled hours on Independence Day. View modified City pool hours at

AustinTexas.gov/ParkClosures in advance to ensure facilities are not closed due to inclement weather.    
Austin Public Library Schedule  Austin Public Library branches, Austin Central Library, and the Austin History Center will be closed on Monday. Library resources that are available remotely can be accessed at the Austin Public Library website: 
library.austintexas.gov.    Trash and Recycling Schedules  All Austin Resource Recovery (ARR) trash, recycling and compost collections will be unaffected for the Independence Day holiday. For the most up-to-date information on all your ARR collections, download the Austin Recycles App for your

  Administrative offices will be closed Monday and the Recycle & Reuse Drop-off Center (RRDOC) remains closed to the public for the time being. Visit

        Austin Animal Center Schedule  The Austin Animal Center 
will be open for Independence Day, July 4 during normal hours, 11am-6pm, but closed on Monday, July 5.
