Due to the ongoing heatwave and sufficient lifeguard staffing, six seasonal pools will extend operations through September 24. Check individual pool pages for hours of operation.
Please note that all pools except Barton Springs Pool and Deep Eddy Pool will close early at 4 p.m. on Sunday, August 13. Most lifeguard staff are students who return to school in mid-August.
The City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department operates five year-round pools. In addition, the Department announced in spring that the operation of splash pads would be extended through October 31 to improve access to water for the Austin community.
