Austin-Travis County Extend Protections Related to Tenants and Issuances of Notices to Vacate to Feb. 1, 2021

For immediate release: December 18, 2020 Contact: Austin-Travis County Joint Information System, 512-974-0699, hsempio@austintexas.gov   Austin-Travis County Extend Protections Related to Tenants and Issuances of Notices to Vacate Updated orders extend through February 1, 2021 Austin, Texas — Austin Mayor Steve Adler announced an extension to his order related to tenants and notices to vacate as part of continued relief during the COVID-19 pandemic. The updated orders, effective immediately, extend through February 1, 2021.   Similar to the previous extension, the updated orders include the circumstances when a landlord is prohibited from issuing a Notice to Vacate to residential and commercial evictions.   On December 17, 2020, Travis County Judge Andy Brown issued County Judge Order No. 2020-22 relating to Notices to Vacate and Eviction Proceedings in response to COVID-19.
