Austin-Travis County Extend Protections Related to Tenants and Issuances of Notices to Vacate

Updated orders extend through February 1, 2021
Austin, Texas Austin Mayor Steve Adler announced an extension to his order related to tenants and notices to vacate as part of continued relief during the COVID-19 pandemic. The updated orders, effective immediately, extend through February 1, 2021.
 
Similar to the previous extension, the updated orders include the circumstances when a landlord is prohibited from issuing a Notice to Vacate to residential and commercial evictions.
 
On December 17, 2020, Travis County Judge Andy Brown issued County Judge Order No. 2020-22 relating to Notices to Vacate and Eviction Proceedings in response to COVID-19. This order also extends the prohibition of eviction proceedings to February 1, 2021.
