The City of Austin is accepting applications from local businesses and institutions to participate in the seventh annual
[Re]Verse Pitch Competition, a program that aims to reduce waste in Austin.
The [Re]Verse Pitch Competition is seeking businesses with surplus material or by-product waste, such as packaging materials, food, textiles, and wood (find
other examples from previous years), to apply to be a material supplier. Businesses accepted as suppliers will pitch their material to competing innovators and entrepreneurs in January 2022. These entrepreneurs will receive mentorship and support as they create new products or business ventures using the materials.
Austin businesses can cut their disposal costs, create new partnerships among the business community, have a positive social and economic impact in Austin, and establish new systems for waste reduction.
Apply to become a material supplier at the [Re]Verse Pitch Competition. The deadline to apply is December 10, 2021.
