Burn Restrictions Lifted

09/28/2020

Due to recent rainfall the Austin Parks and Recreation Department (PARD) has lifted burn restrictions in Austin parks, greenbelts and preserves - pursuant to Ordinance No. 20111102-025 - effective Thursday, September 24, 2020. Visitors may use provided grills, fire rings, and propane stoves in designated picnic areas. As a general reminder, smoking is always prohibited in City of Austin parks. 

PARD is committed to protecting the City's parks and surrounding communities. PARD will be re-evaluating the wildfire risk on an ongoing basis and will advise the public if circumstances change.
