Children 6 Months to 5 Years Old Now Eligible for COVID-19 Bivalent Boosters

 

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has announced that Children 6 months to 5 years of age are now eligible to receive the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 bivalent boosters. Until the CDC’s announcement, children within this age range were only able to get the Pfizer primary series of vaccines.   Bivalent boosters provide more protection against severe illness from COVID-19 as the virus mutates.
